The Oregon Department of Human Services is hiring for the role of SPOTS Card Coordinator, Accountant 1. In this position, you will perform technical accounting work related to the Department of Corrections’ expenditure activity through the SPOTS card process. You will be part of the Accounting Office within the Office of Financial Operations.
What You'll Do
- Perform technical accounting work related to DOC’s expenditure activity through the SPOTS card process.
- Review and code transactions, perform reconciliations, and review expenditure-related activities such as SPOTS card logs submitted by cardholders.
- Prepare schedules or analyses for year-end reporting and respond to business or accounting inquiries related to payments.
- Maintain cardholder information in the bank’s web-based system and process spending limit changes.
- Provide training to cardholders and conduct card monitoring activities as delegated by the Agency Approving Officer.
What We're Looking For
- You must be a current employee of ODOC, BOPPPS, or OCE (contract workers excluded).
- Possession of a Certified Public Accountant or Certified Government Financial Manager certificate; OR
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting; OR
- Successful completion of the State of Oregon Accounting Career Mobility Program or equivalent accounting certificate program from an accredited college or university; OR
- 32 quarter (21 semester) credit hours in Accounting from an accredited institution AND two (2) years of technical, para-professional accounting experience across a range of specific duties.

- Compensation: $5,349 - $7,736 per month (non-PERS qualifying). PERS qualifying applicants may be eligible for an adjusted range to reflect an additional 6.95%.
