About the Role
This position supports licensed speech-language pathologists by delivering therapy services to clients across various settings, using Spanish and English to meet the needs of bilingual populations, while adhering to clinical protocols and documentation standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing individualized therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed clinician
- Conduct therapy sessions with pediatric and adult clients in both Spanish and English
- Support assessment procedures and gather data for client progress monitoring
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and outcomes
- Communicate effectively with families and caregivers in their preferred language
- Prepare therapy materials tailored to client needs and language preferences
- Collaborate with supervising clinicians to adjust therapy approaches as needed
- Follow ethical and professional standards in all client interactions
- Participate in training and professional development activities
- Ensure compliance with confidentiality and healthcare regulations
- Use teletherapy platforms to deliver services remotely
- Support clients with articulation, language, and communication disorders
- Adapt interventions for diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
- Monitor client engagement and report changes to supervising therapist
- Maintain organized records of session notes and materials
- Assist in developing home practice activities for clients and families
- Respond to supervisory feedback to improve service delivery
- Uphold consistent attendance and punctuality for scheduled sessions
- Support transitions between therapy phases as directed
- Contribute to team discussions on client progress and needs
