About the Role
Provides occupational therapy support under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist, delivering services remotely to patients while using Spanish language skills to support bilingual populations.
Responsibilities
- Deliver occupational therapy interventions in a virtual setting
- Collaborate with supervising occupational therapists on treatment plans
- Conduct remote assessments and progress evaluations
- Document patient progress and session notes accurately
- Communicate effectively with patients and caregivers in both English and Spanish
- Support goal development based on individual patient needs
- Maintain compliance with therapy protocols and standards
- Participate in team meetings and case reviews
- Adapt therapeutic activities for remote delivery
- Ensure patient confidentiality and data security
- Use telehealth platforms to conduct sessions
- Monitor patient engagement and adjust approaches as needed
- Provide feedback to supervising therapists on patient response
- Follow established safety and ethical guidelines
- Stay current with occupational therapy best practices
- Assist in training caregivers on therapeutic techniques
- Maintain accurate records in electronic health systems
- Support culturally responsive care for Spanish-speaking patients
- Respond to patient and family inquiries promptly
- Uphold professional licensure and continuing education requirements
