About the Role
The professional will deliver speech and language therapy services remotely to children, conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with caregivers and interdisciplinary teams to support client progress.
Responsibilities
- Conduct remote assessments for speech and language disorders
- Create individualized treatment plans for pediatric clients
- Deliver teletherapy sessions using secure video platforms
- Monitor and document client progress regularly
- Collaborate with parents and guardians on therapy goals
- Coordinate with school-based teams when applicable
- Administer standardized and informal assessments
- Develop home practice materials for families
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and privacy regulations
- Participate in team meetings and case reviews
- Engage in ongoing professional development
- Follow state and federal licensing requirements
- Support early intervention and school-aged populations
- Address articulation, language, and fluency disorders
- Manage caseload efficiently and ethically
- Use evidence-based therapeutic techniques
- Respond to client and family inquiries promptly
- Adapt therapy approaches based on client needs
- Maintain open communication with supervising clinicians
Nice to Have
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Experience with AAC devices
- Training in specific therapeutic methodologies
- Prior remote therapy experience
- Knowledge of assistive technology
