McDonald's Canada is seeking a Specialist, Translations for a one-year contractual position. In this remote role, you will be accountable for the translation, revision, and quality assurance of a wide variety of administrative documents and internal communications from English to French.
What You'll Do
- Translate documents of varying complexity from English to French, primarily internal communications from Corporate and Regional offices.
- Revise translated materials as needed.
- Contribute to team proofreading of documents prior to printing.
- Ensure consistency and quality control of all translated work.
- Assist in building and enhancing a terminology database.
- Prioritize your own workload to meet tight deadlines.
What We're Looking For
- A specialized bachelor's degree in translation or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of professional translation experience.
- Fluency in English and French, both written and oral.
- Proven capacity to work effectively within a team.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize work.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple concurrent projects.
Nice to Have
- Proficiency or interest in French to English translation.
- Knowledge of translation memory or translation project management software.
- McDonald’s restaurant experience.

You will report to the Linguistic Services lead and collaborate closely with multiple departments across the organization.
