Societe Generale seeks a Specialist Systems Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will focus on Kubernetes administration and container platform management, ensuring high availability and performance for our critical systems.
What You'll Do
- Administer services status in the Kubernetes Master.
- Manage Pods, Docker images, services, and replication controllers.
- Scale and descale Pods based on demand.
- Administer configuration changes in Kubernetes files.
- Deploy microservices and troubleshoot issues encountered during deployment.
- Provide support to L1 & L2 teams in creating RCAs, resolving issues, completing daily activities, and providing training.
- Provide on-call support as needed.
- Use shell scripting to automate tasks.
- Conform to client compliances and expectations.
- Monitor system events to ensure health, maximum system availability, and service quality.
- Manage the container platform ecosystem, including installation, upgrade, patching, and monitoring.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and assist the development team as necessary to resolve issues related to Kubernetes.
- Perform system and application patching.
- Answer user queries and service requests.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5-8 years of working experience in Kubernetes.
- Preferably from a Linux Systems Admin or DevOps Engineering background.
- Experience in larger cluster administration.
- Solid experience in Kubernetes application troubleshooting.
- Basic knowledge about the CI/CD process.
- Knowledge in Python programming.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge in Ansible and Terraform.
- Certifications: CKA/CKAD Certified or Azure/AWS certification (good to have any one).
