About the Role

Bank of Montreal is seeking a Business Banking Services Specialist to join our team remotely. You will provide financial solutions and exceptional customer service to small businesses, developing strong listening skills and learning about business banking while collaborating with internal and external groups to find optimal solutions for our customers.

What You'll Do

  • Probe to understand customer needs and provide Business Banking sales, service, and advice to existing customers or prospects.
  • Advise customers on Business Banking strategies and products, including credit cards, that meet their objectives.
  • Fulfill sales and service activities in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Identify and make referrals to other business groups as needed.
  • Handle customer inquiries in an informed, professional, and efficient manner.
  • Escalate complex or unresolved customer situations to the appropriate colleague as required.
  • Perform required activities and transactional outcomes after calls to ensure requests are accurately processed.
  • Maintain current knowledge of business banking and credit card products and processes.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of customer and Bank information and adhere to regulatory requirements.
  • Engage clients in holistic needs-based conversations to develop a complete understanding of their needs.

What We're Looking For

  • Working knowledge of Personal and Small Business Banking Products.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport and proactively establish personal connections.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • An aptitude for continuous learning, listening, solving problems, and responding flexibly and creatively to new challenges.
  • Strong collaboration with internal partners and team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience.

Nice to Have

  • Contact Center and Banking Experience.
