Bank of Montreal (BMO) is looking for a Specialist, Business Banking Services to help small businesses achieve their dreams through tailored financial solutions and exceptional customer service. You will act as a role model, support leadership initiatives, and collaborate with internal and external groups to develop the right solutions for customers.

What You'll Do

  • Probe to understand customer needs and provide Business Banking sales, service, and advice to existing customers or prospects.
  • Advise customers on Business Banking strategies and products, including credit cards, that meet their objectives.
  • Fulfill sales and service activities in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Identify and make referrals to other business groups as needed.
  • Handle customer inquiries in an informed, professional, and efficient manner.
  • Escalate complex or unresolved customer situations to the appropriate colleague as required.
  • Perform required activities and transactional outcomes after calls to ensure requests are processed accurately.
  • Maintain current knowledge of business banking and credit card products and integrate it professionally into customer conversations.
  • Engage clients in holistic needs-based conversations to develop a complete understanding of their needs and identify financial solutions.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer and Bank information and adhere to regulatory requirements.
  • Report issues as needed to protect the bank and our customers.

  • Working knowledge of Personal and Small Business Banking Products.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport and proactively establish personal connections.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • An aptitude for continuous learning, listening, solving problems, and responding flexibly and creatively to new challenges.
  • Strong collaboration with internal partners and team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent work experience.

Nice to Have

  • Contact Center & Banking Experience.
