Glastonbury Public Schools is hiring a Special Education Tutor for a part-time position at Smith Middle School. You will join a dedicated team focused on providing specialized educational support to students.
What You'll Do
- Provide direct, targeted tutoring and instructional support to students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and special education staff to implement student support plans
- Adapt instructional materials and methods to meet diverse learning needs and styles
- Monitor and document student progress toward academic and behavioral goals
What We're Looking For
- Valid Connecticut certification in Special Education or a related field
- Experience working directly with middle school-aged students with special needs
- Knowledge of differentiated instruction and evidence-based intervention strategies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families

This role is onsite at Smith Middle School.
