Lazer is hiring a Solutions Engineer, Shopify to guide large brands through their commerce transformation journey. In this role, you will act as a consultant during the early sales cycles, mapping complex enterprise architectures and designing migrations from legacy commerce platforms onto Shopify.

What You'll Do

Lead discovery workshops with client executives and technical teams to understand current enterprise architecture, business processes, and pain points.
Define the future-state ecosystem on Shopify, encompassing commerce, checkout, headless, POS, OMS, ERP, WMS, CRM, CDP, analytics, and personalization.
Scope complex replatforming projects from Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Adobe Commerce, or BigCommerce onto Shopify, including data, integrations, and customizations.
Architect integrations for ERP, OMS/WMS, and CMS systems, leveraging iPaaS tools.
Produce clear technical architectures, solution diagrams, and statements of work to guide engineering teams.
Partner with business development and client partner teams to create solution proposals and ensure smooth handoff to delivery.
Maintain deep knowledge of Shopify’s ecosystem, including markets, checkout extensibility, functions, APIs, and analytics.
Advise enterprise stakeholders on trade-offs, risks, and best practices when adopting Shopify.

What We're Looking For

Deep understanding of enterprise commerce platforms: Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Adobe Commerce, BigCommerce, and Shopify.
Enterprise architecture experience mapping and redesigning large-scale digital commerce ecosystems.
Integration expertise with ERP, OMS, WMS, CMS, CDPs, and iPaaS platforms.
A consulting mindset to extract requirements and translate ambiguous client input into a clear, structured scope.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable with client executives and technical teams.
Capable of producing high-quality architecture diagrams, scopes of work, and solution blueprints.
Client-facing presence in early-stage sales conversations, discovery sessions, and technical presentations.
A continuous learner keeping up to date on Shopify’s ecosystem and broader commerce technology trends.
