Solutions Engineer - NATO Netherlands - remote We empower defense and government leaders with strategic intelligence solutions in a complex global landscape. Job Purpose: A key Product team member responsible for integrating and optimizing intelligence capabilities across NATO's enterprise. Collaborating with the global Product Solutions team, you will support deployment, configuration, and enhancement of interconnected data systems and platforms. This role focuses on enabling data integration within individual systems, facilitating interoperability with third-party datasets, and aligning with NATO's evolving artificial intelligence and intelligence requirements. You will help define data standards, technical specifications, and integration pathways to drive innovation and improve customer outcomes. You will contribute to high-impact customer and partner projects across the Alliance, helping shape the technical infrastructure—including graph knowledge-base, intelligence products, and supporting systems. Your work will directly impact national security and defense capabilities. How You Will Contribute: System Integration: Support integration of data and models into customer record systems, ensuring seamless functionality and operational relevance. Product Delivery: Assist in developing and delivering Interconnected Intelligence products, ensuring compliance with NATO standards and technical expectations. Customer Advisory: Provide remote and on-site technical advisory services, offering guidance on data attributes, integration strategies, and system optimization. Documentation & Standards: Collate, analyze, assess and summarize NATO documentation related to data models, ontologies, governance, processing, and third-party integration. Ontology & Model Development: Advise on evolving data models and ontologies to ensure compatibility with NATO and customer ecosystems. Gap Analysis: Identify and prioritize unmet data requirements critical to NATO adoption and mission success. Strategic Expansion: Explore adjacent content and data domains for potential expansion to deepen relevance and support for NATO missions. Market Intelligence: Monitor and report on partner and competitor activity within NATO to identify collaboration opportunities or risk mitigation strategies. Account Development: Share insights on leveraging NATO relationships to unlock opportunities in partner nations and remove expansion barriers. Presales & Bids: Support technical presales engagements, bid responses, and proposal submissions with expert solution design input. Ideal Skills and Experience: Essential Skills: Domain Expertise: - Proven data integration and system interoperability experience in defense/intelligence sectors - Strong understanding of NATO-relevant data models and standards - Experience with national security organizations - NATO nation citizenship with security clearance potential Technical Proficiency: - Python expertise, including SDKs, APIs, data engineering practices - Software Development Lifecycle understanding - Graph database experience - Familiarity with ArcGIS, Palantir, RDBMS technologies Education & Communication: - Computer Science/IT Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience - Excellent technical and non-technical communication skills - Comfortable with global, agile team environments - Intelligence cycle knowledge Mindset & Approach: - Strategic problem-solving capabilities - Innovative and dynamic thinking - Adaptability in fast-paced environments Desirable Skills: Front-End & Web Technologies: - JavaScript library/framework experience - Geospatial JavaScript library familiarity Back-End & Infrastructure: - Docker, Elasticsearch, Palantir experience - Cloud platform expertise, particularly AWS - Backend/frontend architecture background Geospatial & Intelligence Tools: - Python geospatial module experience - Esri technology proficiency Security & Clearance: - Active security clearance advantageous Benefits: - 27 days annual leave - Wellness half-day every 6 months - 10 days reserve forces leave - 3 days study leave - 21 hours volunteering leave - Monthly medical allowance - 16% employer pension contribution We are an inclusive, equal opportunities employer encouraging diverse applications regardless of personal characteristics.
