Corning's AI Products team is hiring a Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of robust business solutions using Microsoft Power Platform. You will independently develop solutions to resolve a wide range of complex issues for internal customers, leveraging integrations and emerging AI capabilities.
What You'll Do
- Provide leadership in the technical design and implementation of enterprise-level applications utilizing Power Platform components—including Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio, and Power BI—with integrations to SharePoint, Dataverse, SQL, and other external systems.
- Develop engineering documentation outlining current and proposed solutions, such as architectural diagrams and operational run books.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze requirements and assess suitability for Power Platform solutions or recommend alternate technologies.
- Provide hands-on support for proofs-of-concept and demos to shape solution vision with internal customers.
- Partner with the Citizen Development Product Manager and IT teams to establish and execute governance frameworks for Microsoft Power Platform applications.
- Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain new or existing Microsoft Power Platform solutions.
- Support and troubleshoot as needed, addressing bugs and performing root cause analysis.
- Guide backlog, review sprint architecture, and ensure performance, security, and maintainability.
- Remain updated on Power Platform features and best practices.
- Design and implement automated workflows (flows) and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) using Microsoft's Power Automate platform to streamline business processes.
- Integrate Power Platform solutions with Microsoft and third-party apps via APIs and PA connectors.
- Leverage emerging AI capabilities, including Copilot Studio and Azure AI Foundry, and begin to apply Agentic AI approaches to create adaptive, intelligent solutions.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
- 10+ years of overall experience working in IT.
- At least 5 years of direct, hands-on experience designing and building solutions specifically using Microsoft Power Platform.
- Proficiency in Power Apps (Canvas Apps), Power Automate, Copilot Studio, AI Builder, PowerShell, Power FX, MS SQL, and Power BI solutions using DAX.
- A strong understanding of Microsoft 365 services, including SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
- Familiarity with Azure services, such as Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and Azure DevOps, and their integration with Power Platform.
- Certified Power Platform Developer Associate or equivalent certification is required.

- Power Platform Solution Architect Expert certification.
