NWN Carousel was looking for a Solution Architect

Role Overview

This position plays a central role in the pre-sales process by leading the technical evaluation and solution design for audio-visual and collaboration projects. Working closely with the sales team, the Solution Architect translates client needs into functional, reliable, and cost-effective system designs using industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical assessment phase of the sales cycle, serving as the primary technical advisor to both clients and sales representatives
  • Design integrated audio-visual systems tailored to client environments, including immersive and video collaboration solutions
  • Conduct on-site and remote discovery sessions to gather environmental and operational requirements
  • Develop comprehensive project documentation, including Scopes of Work, Bills of Materials, line drawings, and site surveys
  • Deliver client presentations that clearly communicate technical concepts to both business and technical stakeholders
  • Support the sales team in identifying requirements, shaping solutions, and demonstrating system capabilities
  • Ensure all technical aspects of a project are addressed to maintain customer satisfaction through implementation
  • Provide training on technology platforms to internal teams and customers as needed
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge through ongoing technical education and vendor certifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years in professional audio-visual design, with focus on immersive environments
  • 2–4 years in a technical leadership or solution engineering role within AV integration
  • Hands-on programming experience with AMX, Crestron, or Extron control systems
  • Proven background in designing solutions for Cisco, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams meeting environments
  • Experience provisioning audio processors from QSC, BiAMP, or Shure
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Visio for system documentation and design
  • Familiarity with IP networking, security, virtualization, and end-user computing concepts
  • Working knowledge of integrated and standalone video collaboration platforms
  • Strong project management fundamentals and experience with solution costing and quality planning
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to present to management-level audiences
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel
  • Industry certifications such as AVIXA CTS, CTS-I, or CTS-D, or vendor-specific credentials in Crestron, Extron, BiAMP, Shure, QSC, or video conferencing technologies

Technical Environment

Design and integration of systems using AMX, Crestron, Extron, Cisco, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, QSC, BiAMP, and Shure technologies. Utilizes AutoCAD and Visio for design documentation, with a foundation in IP communications, networking, and enterprise collaboration platforms.
