Essel is looking for a Solid Waste Engineer at the mid to senior level to manage and lead a variety of solid waste management projects. This role combines technical engineering with client relations and team development.

What You'll Do

Manage and execute diverse solid waste projects, including landfill gas, landfills and infrastructure, and composting.
Provide design, engineering, permitting, construction, and operations support for solid waste assignments.
Perform project management, business development, and staff development.
Engage directly with public and private clients in marketing, client management, and project delivery.
Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, reports, and permit applications.
Plan and coordinate work, representing the company at meetings and conferences.
Conduct business development activities, including proposal preparation, client meetings, and attending industry conferences.
Perform field work such as surveys, data gathering, CQA liner installations, and inspections.
Handle office-based tasks including CAD drafting, mathematical calculations, report writing, and creating site plans.
Make independent decisions on engineering or scientific problems and methods.

What We're Looking For

Mid to senior level experience in solid waste engineering.
Ability to perform field work in varied terrain and weather conditions, including driving.
Ability to receive technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and obtain supervisory approval for proposed plans.
