Naimuri, part of QinetiQ, is looking for a Principal Software & Hardware CEH Assurance Practitioner. You will be responsible for providing Independent Technical Assessment of software for safety-critical aircraft systems and Subject Matter Expert-level Hardware Assurance across a range of high-integrity sectors.
What You'll Do
- Provide Independent Technical Assessment of software for safety-critical aircraft systems.
- Lead the assessment of third-party software for safety and conformance to standards.
- Provide SME-level Hardware Assurance for QinetiQ and external organisations in Land, Maritime, Space, Air, Weapons and other sectors.
- Assure hardware processes for complex hardware sub-systems to applicable CEH Safety Standards like DO-254 and BS EN 61508-02.
- Perform assurance of Complex Electronic Hardware (CEH) systems to agreed High Integrity Software safety standards.
- Conduct audits and reviews as the lead auditor and reviewer.
- Perform assessments of the software/hardware lifecycle and artefacts against software safety standards.
- Mentor project team members and ensure delivery of technical output.
- Travel to locations in Europe and the UK for customer and industry meetings and workshops.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a technical assessor or a strong software engineering/aviation background.
- Strong communication skills and a pragmatic approach.
- SME understanding of High Integrity hardware development, including VHDL.
- SME understanding of different hardware chipsets: FPGA, ASIC, and PLC.
- A strong understanding of the hardware lifecycle and processes.
- Previous experience working with CEH standards such as DO-254 and EN 61508-2.
- A Technical Degree (Computer Science, Maths, Engineering or equivalent) or relevant technical experience.
