Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is hiring a Software Engineer based in India to join a global engineering team. You will develop software that transforms complex data into impactful solutions for leading insurers, automakers, and public agencies, working on scalable platforms powered by AI and cloud services.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement scalable, maintainable, and testable software solutions based on complex business needs.
- Participate in the entire software development lifecycle including code reviews, deployment, and production support.
- Translate business and functional requirements into clear, actionable technical tasks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability, performance, and usability.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in development, architecture, and testing.
- Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines, support containerization efforts, and ensure code meets operational standards.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide on-call support when needed.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in Python with strong software design and architecture skills.
- Experience building scalable web applications using Django.
- Solid knowledge of SQL and database systems like PostgreSQL and Amazon Redshift.
- Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, SNS, SQS, and RDS.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, especially Jenkins.
- Working knowledge of Docker and container-based development.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience building RESTful APIs and working with a React frontend.
