EX Squared is hiring a Software Engineer | Python (Remote - US)

Jobgether is looking for a Software Engineer | Python to build and enhance scalable SaaS solutions that improve customer workflows and deliver business value. In this remote role, you will work across backend and frontend development, cloud-native architecture, and database optimization as part of a collaborative engineering team.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain scalable SaaS applications using Python, NestJS (backend), and NextJS (frontend).
• Optimize PostgreSQL databases and microservices architecture for performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on SDLC best practices and implement new features.
• Integrate AI and agentic tools to improve development processes.
• Support deployments, troubleshoot production issues, and coordinate with DevOps and QA teams.
• Design and maintain APIs and backend functionality for seamless user experiences.
• Stay current with cloud-native technologies, microservices patterns, and emerging development trends.

What We're Looking For

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven experience building and debugging cloud-based solutions.
• Strong commitment to SOLID principles, clean architecture, and TypeScript.
• Professional experience with PostgreSQL, including query optimization and migrations.
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban.
• Excellent teamwork, documentation, and communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
• Experience with scalable SaaS applications.
• Experience with NodeJS/NestJS.
• Experience with React/NextJS.
• Experience with third-party APIs.
