As a Defense Tech Software Engineer Intern at Palantir, you will contribute high-quality code directly to the Gotham product, supporting mission-critical defense capabilities for key partners. You'll be involved throughout the product lifecycle—from idea generation and design to execution and shipping—while working closely with mentors and cross-functional teams.
What You'll Do
- Support work specifically focusing on delivering Palantir Defense capabilities to critical mission partners
- Be involved throughout the product lifecycle — from idea generation, design, and prototyping to execution and shipping
- Collaborate closely with technical and non-technical counterparts to understand customers' problems and build solutions
- Work under the guidance of a dedicated mentor focused on your growth and success
What We're Looking For
- Ability to write clean, effective code
- Capacity to learn new programming languages quickly
Nice to Have
- Experience with Java or Go for backend development
- Experience with Typescript for frontend development
- Familiarity with open-source technologies such as Cassandra, Spark, Elasticsearch, React, and Redux
- Experience with build tooling including Gradle and GitHub
- Background as a former university TA
- Transitioned into computer science recently
- Participation in hackathons
