Responsibilities
- Create, develop, and maintain the Traffic Management System API, a Go-based service that controls routing and traffic-steering settings across our worldwide edge network.
- Develop the agent responsible for rendering and applying routing configurations on edge nodes, ensuring the desired state is reliably propagated from the API to the edge.
- Build and enhance BGP and Anycast routing features, including configuration rendering, peer-group and route-map support, and prefix filtering, as we unify edge routing into a single control plane.
- Design and maintain automated failover and high-availability solutions, such as non-stop maintenance mode and capacity- and health-aware traffic offloading from overloaded points of presence.
- Improve reliability through comprehensive test coverage, including configuration rendering and end-to-end pipeline tests, along with metrics and observability across the routing pipeline.
- Work with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance, reliability, and resilience.
