At Allergan Aesthetics, an AbbVie company, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer specializing in DevOps. This role prepares and installs solutions by designing system specifications and programming standards. You will provide day-to-day technical leadership, recommend best practices, and design, build, and maintain efficient, scalable CI/CD pipelines and automated workflows for software delivery, integration, and testing.
What You'll Do
- Participate in requirements refinement, architecture discussions, design specification reviews, and test plan development.
- Write clean, maintainable code and documentation using engineering best practices.
- Develop, implement, and manage automated build, test, and deployment pipelines using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, GitHub Actions, and JFrog Artifactory.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure end-to-end pipeline reliability and performance.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize pipeline processes and implement metrics and reporting.
- Integrate tools for automated code quality checks, security scanning, and continuous integration.
- Evaluate and adopt new technologies for pipeline automation and DevOps practices.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards within the build and deployment pipeline.
- Guide teams in source control management, including branching strategies and Git workflows.
- Support onboarding and training for pipeline usage and best practices across engineering functions.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree and 7 years of experience, OR Master’s Degree and 6 years of experience, OR PhD and 2 years of experience.
- Demonstrated experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in cloud, on-prem, or hybrid environments.
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git), artifact repositories (Artifactory), and pipeline logging and monitoring solutions.
- Understanding of modern DevOps practices: infrastructure as code, policy as code, automated testing frameworks, and security in build pipelines.
- Experience in structured software and systems development and integration, including software design methodologies, design patterns, and component-oriented software architecture.
- Knowledge of software life cycle processes used in regulated development environments.
- Result-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work as a team member or individual contributor with minimal direction.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for documentation, process communication, and collaboration.
