About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our DevOps Platform team, where you will play a key role in building and maintaining the infrastructure that powers our services. You will work closely with engineering teams to improve system reliability, automate processes, and enhance developer productivity through scalable solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop software to automate application deployments, configure infrastructure, and manage essential services like databases.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues in Linux systems as part of an on-call rotation, conduct post-mortems, and implement preventive measures.
- Build, deploy, and maintain internal tools and services that enhance engineering team efficiency and empower teams to manage their own operations.
- Support physical server infrastructure with occasional travel to data centers in the Bay Area or New Jersey for on-site maintenance and projects.
- Contribute to strategic decisions shaping the future direction and scalability of the infrastructure.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline.
- Hands-on experience maintaining and debugging Linux systems and services in production environments.
- Minimum of two years of experience developing robust, production-level software using Java, Go, or comparable programming languages.
- Demonstrated proficiency with automation tools such as Terraform, Chef, or Puppet.
- Proven track record of designing and deploying complex, mission-critical distributed systems.
- Strong analytical and communication abilities, with a collaborative mindset focused on continuous learning and knowledge sharing.

Compensation
Estimated annual salary range: $145,000 - $185,000 plus equity and a discretionary bonus. Equity: Equity
