As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you'll play a central role in maintaining and improving the backbone of a secure, high-availability financial platform. Your focus will be on ensuring system reliability, operational efficiency, and seamless scalability as the platform evolves. You'll collaborate closely with engineering, security, compliance, and product teams to align infrastructure with business goals and regulatory requirements.
What You'll Do
- Design, monitor, and optimize production systems for uptime, performance, and resilience.
- Develop and manage infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment workflows to support rapid, safe delivery.
- Lead incident response efforts, conduct root-cause investigations, and implement preventive measures.
- Establish robust observability through metrics, logging, alerting, and distributed tracing to proactively identify issues.
- Support database operations, cloud networking, and microservices orchestration at scale, primarily on Google Cloud Platform.
- Enforce best practices in capacity planning, failover, backup strategies, and disaster recovery.
- Document system architecture, runbooks, and on-call procedures to ensure operational clarity and compliance.
What We're Looking For
- Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Go, Python, or Bash for automation and tool development.
- Proven experience with cloud platforms, especially GCP, and containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Hands-on work with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager.
- Familiarity with GitOps tools including FluxCD or ArgoCD for continuous delivery.
- Solid grasp of distributed systems, microservices, and reliability engineering principles.
- Experience implementing monitoring and observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain effective during high-pressure incidents.
- Understanding of secure operations, backup strategies, and compliance in regulated environments.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across technical and non-technical functions.
- A self-driven approach with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Adaptability in a fast-paced, early-stage startup setting with evolving priorities.
