We are seeking a Software Engineer with strong JavaScript experience to play a key role in training next-generation AI systems. Your primary responsibility will be assessing code produced by large language models, identifying strengths and weaknesses, and guiding improvements through precise, actionable feedback.
What You'll Do
- Compare multiple code outputs side by side, determining the most effective solution and clearly explaining your reasoning
- Refactor and correct AI-generated code to meet standards for logic, performance, readability, and security
- Provide structured input—edits, ratings, test outcomes—into the reinforcement learning process that shapes model behavior
- Help close the loop between human expertise and machine learning by enabling the system to learn from nuanced coding decisions
What We Need
- At least three years of professional software development experience using JavaScript
- Proven ability to quickly spot bugs, inefficiencies, and security concerns in code
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong written communication skills
- Capacity to clearly justify technical trade-offs and design choices
- Comfort interpreting technical documentation and language specifications
- Ability to work independently in an asynchronous, self-directed environment
Nice to Have
- Experience with constraint programming or formal logic systems
Work Environment
This is a fully remote position with flexible scheduling. Work hours range from a minimum of 15 per week up to full-time, depending on availability and project needs. You can work from any location.
Compensation
Pay ranges from $30 to $70 per hour, scaled by experience level and regional benchmarks. The role does not include equity or additional benefits.
