Rocket Science Group is looking for a Software Engineer to join our hardworking team. In this role, you'll create scalable, resilient solutions that exceed player quality expectations. You'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and evolving robust technical solutions to help our partners' games delight players globally.
What You'll Do
- Implement, maintain, and collaborate on new features and systems within proprietary and commercially available game engines.
- Leverage advanced debugging techniques to solve complex problems across multiple systems.
- Collaborate with designers and product leads to break down technical requirements and bring creative solutions to life.
- Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and set an example of quality code implementation.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of programming experience in game engines like Unity, Unreal, or proprietary systems.
- Proficiency with C++ and strong math skills.
- A commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code with a focus on best practices.
- Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining robust features.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to technical challenges.
- A genuine passion for video games and a desire to create engaging player experiences.
- Eagerness to learn about other technologies and practices to stay current.
Nice to Have
- Experience developing for current-generation consoles like Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, or Switch.
- Previous experience coaching, teaching, or mentoring less experienced engineers.
- Previous experience working with internal and external stakeholders to gather feedback and problem solve.
