Experian seeks a Software Development Manager to shape technical direction, engineering culture, and delivery execution for the high-volume systems within Experian Employer Services. You will be a hands-on leader guiding engineering and QA teams, contributing to architecture and code, strengthening security, and inspiring a disciplined Agile operating model.
What You'll Do
- Oversee progress, daily-activity status, and key project activities.
- Work with cross-functional engineering, UI/UX, and QA teams to meet deliverables and milestone dates.
- Analyze requirements and collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure product changes are delivered.
- Manage staff and assign tasks to engineering and technical personnel.
- Oversee project logistics and resource allocation.
- Strive to improve the efficiency and sustainability of processes and product designs.
- Lead the team through the Agile SCRUM process.
- Promote DevOps culture and work with IT.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for platform emergencies.
- Oversee product deployment activities.
- Plan for team capacity and form SCRUM teams.
- Monitor and report on team performance metrics.
- Provide regular, meaningful updates to leadership on sprint progress.
- Work closely with Product Owners to ensure development output meets requirements.
What We're Looking For
- 15+ years of experience in the IT industry.
- 6+ years of professional management experience.
- 8+ years of professional .NET development and architectural experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science.
- Experience with C#, .NET Framework, Azure Cloud, MS SQL Server, T-SQL, and relational database design.
- Experience with frontend technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, or ReactJS.
- Experience with Agile software methodologies.
- Experience with Azure Cloud Solutions (IaaS, SaaS).
- Experience with API development and integrations.
- Expert in latest architectural patterns and cloud-native development.
- Experience in APIs, microservices, container development, and integrations.
- Extensive experience with ETL technologies like SSIS, ADF, Data Bricks.
- Experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Entity Framework or other ORM.
- Ability to understand the difference between good and bad code.
- Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and complexity analysis.
- Experience partnering with product, design, and engineering to establish and steward a multi-year development roadmap.
Nice to Have
- 3+ years of Azure cloud experience.
- Master's degree.
