Responsibilities
- Lead and support large, cross-functional digital design initiatives, ensuring they meet business objectives, design excellence, and client requirements.
- Act as a primary client liaison, providing strategic insight and clear communication across all stages of the design process.
- Work closely with design, engineering, and research teams to define project scope, set timelines, and help shape proposals and responses to client requests.
- Create compelling client presentations and prototypes using advanced tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, and Webflow, with a focus on accessibility and usability.
- Play an active role in producing design outputs, including responsive interfaces, interactive elements, and immersive digital experiences.
- Use design-focused workflows and tools to manage project progress, team coordination, and quality assurance.
- Design sophisticated digital products grounded in user-centered methods, rapid prototyping, and continuous user testing.
- Foster and maintain strong client partnerships by advising on digital design strategy and experience innovation.
- Mentor junior designers in UX, interaction design, visual design, and consulting skills to support professional development.
- Support internal initiatives to advance design standards, share knowledge, and strengthen craft leadership.
- Engage in business development through pipeline planning, client pitches, and aligning market opportunities with design strengths.
- Lead explorations into emerging technologies like extended reality and real-time rendering, assessing their impact on interface and experience design.
- Assess project results and use findings to improve internal processes and elevate design quality.
- Promote a culture of experimentation by guiding teams in fast iteration, user research, and design validation techniques.
- Stay aligned with project budgets and schedules as they relate to design milestones and client satisfaction.
Compensation
$140,000 to $200,000 per year

Other
- Partial remote work allowed: 2 days per week from home, 3 days on-site at 80 Prospect Street, Cambridge, MA 02139.
- Up to 30% domestic travel is expected for client-facing research and meetings.
- Annual salary range is $140,000 to $200,000.
