Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is looking for a Software Business Analyst II to translate business needs into technical documentation and lead solutioning efforts for complex software systems. This fully remote role supports mission-critical applications and requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams.

What You'll Do

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather and refine technical and functional requirements.
Lead solutioning efforts for complex software systems, offering clear direction for development and QA teams.
Create comprehensive, actionable documentation that guides developers and ensures alignment with business objectives.
Assist in testing and validating solutions to confirm proper implementation and performance.
Use tools like Jira and Postman to track progress, report issues, and manage workflows efficiently.
Maintain open communication across cross-functional teams, ensuring clarity and continuity throughout project lifecycles.

What We're Looking For

3+ years of experience as a Software Business Analyst or Business Analyst working on complex systems (preferably SaaS).
Demonstrated strength in solutioning, technical documentation, and hands-on involvement with software projects.
Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Postman, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to Have

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Working knowledge of APIs, user flows, and system logic — ability to read and understand some code is a plus.
