Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is looking for a Software Business Analyst II to translate business needs into technical documentation and lead solutioning efforts for complex software systems. This fully remote role supports mission-critical applications and requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather and refine technical and functional requirements.
- Lead solutioning efforts for complex software systems, offering clear direction for development and QA teams.
- Create comprehensive, actionable documentation that guides developers and ensures alignment with business objectives.
- Assist in testing and validating solutions to confirm proper implementation and performance.
- Use tools like Jira and Postman to track progress, report issues, and manage workflows efficiently.
- Maintain open communication across cross-functional teams, ensuring clarity and continuity throughout project lifecycles.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience as a Software Business Analyst or Business Analyst working on complex systems (preferably SaaS).
- Demonstrated strength in solutioning, technical documentation, and hands-on involvement with software projects.
- Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Postman, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Working knowledge of APIs, user flows, and system logic — ability to read and understand some code is a plus.
