This Site Reliability Engineer role is central to ensuring the stability, scalability, and performance of mission-critical systems across hybrid environments. You will bridge the gap between development and operations by applying engineering rigor to operations challenges, driving automation, and enforcing reliability as a core product feature. The role involves close collaboration with development teams, platform engineers, and security specialists to build resilient systems that support the company’s digital transformation in the energy sector. You will lead incident response efforts, conduct post-mortems, and implement long-term fixes to prevent recurrence. With a strong focus on observability and proactive risk mitigation, you will help define and track SLOs, manage error budgets, and ensure services meet availability and performance targets. This is a hands-on technical leadership role with opportunities to influence architecture, mentor peers, and contribute to strategic initiatives shaping the future of infrastructure operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead reliability engineering by implementing SRE principles, including defining service level indicators and objectives, managing error budgets, and conducting regular reliability assessments.
- Design and maintain highly available, fault-tolerant infrastructure with redundancy, capacity planning, and clear operational accountability to support 99.9%+ uptime.
- Own end-to-end observability by establishing monitoring, logging, distributed tracing, and alerting systems that deliver actionable insights into service health.
- Promote automation-first operations using Infrastructure-as-Code, configuration management, and standardization to minimize manual effort and increase system reliability.
- Enhance CI/CD pipelines and release processes with safe deployment strategies such as canary and blue-green rollouts, automated testing, and change risk controls.
- Develop and validate disaster recovery and business continuity plans through regular testing, RTO/RPO optimization, and reliable backup and restore procedures.
- Integrate security into system design by enforcing least privilege, hardening environments, managing secrets securely, and aligning with compliance standards.
Requirements
- Minimum of three years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, platform engineering, or operations within complex technical environments.
- Proven experience with on-premises, cloud, or hybrid infrastructure, including virtualization, Linux and/or Windows operating systems, and networking fundamentals.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as ISO 27001 or NIS2 Directive and practical application of security and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to use automation, logging, and observability tools to improve system performance, availability, and operational efficiency.
- Strong analytical skills in incident management, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective technical solutions.
- Experience contributing to technical documentation and architectural design in collaborative engineering environments.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in Agile, DevOps, or SRE-oriented settings.
