Photoroom is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer to scale our AI backend infrastructure and own the Machine Learning Inference Infrastructure. You will architect cloud-agnostic solutions, deploy containers, and ensure reliability for a backend processing millions of requests daily. What You'll Do
- Own the Machine Learning Inference Infrastructure at PhotoRoom, processing millions of requests on GPU every day.
- Be responsible for the infrastructure deploying and running containers provided by the ML team.
- Architect cloud-agnostic solutions to better serve current and future needs.
- Own your work from A to Z: from working on the architecture & coding features to monitoring releases' performance.
- Get fast feedback from users and team members, iterate quickly, and make decisions based on product usage.
- [Optional] Be on call to monitor system performance.
What We're Looking For
- Experience with load balancing, autoscaling and queuing systems at scale.
- Experience with low-latency realtime systems.
- Experience building a reliable and redundant backend.
- Experience building backends to run long-running tasks (in the seconds).
- Designed infrastructure to deploy containers receiving a high number of QPS while maintaining a great developer experience.
- Pragmatic, favoring speed of iteration over perfection.
- Strong sense of ownership and initiative, at ease making product & technical decisions.
- Experience working as part of a talented team in a fast-growing startup.
- Curious, comfortable with explaining or learning, values knowledge sharing and humility.
- Fluent in English.
