BEUMER Group, a family-owned intra-logistics leader where tradition and innovation go hand in hand, seeks a Senior Site Installation Supervisor. In this role, you are responsible for all mechanical and general installation activities both off and on-site for our system projects. You will coordinate site supervisors and workers to ensure high-quality, safe installation work, provide key support to the project management team, and maintain direct customer contact.
What You'll Do
- Follow and live the BEUMER Leadership Principles and ensure company processes are followed.
- Promote safe and reliable construction and maintenance activities consistent with BEUMER objectives, policies, codes, and regulations.
- Mentor, train, and grow Site Installation Supervisors and subcontractors for complete logistics system installation.
- Act as the main technical advisor for direct supervisory personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures.
- Prepare the site installation project plan containing objectives, organization, and planning with the Project Manager.
- Supervise teams over multiple parallel projects, including providing remote support as needed.
- Coordinate all activities with internal partners, the customer, and all subcontractors while keeping the project manager and team updated.
- Prepare installation RFQs for BEUMER and all logistics projects.
- Ensure review of all site drawings when issued to the field and maintain a current set at all times.
- Demonstrate and ensure high standards of safety, security, and environmental compliance are consistently followed.
- Ensure site supervisors perform quality checks on installation and processes.
- Accurately direct and/or execute complex multi-level layouts of equipment using supplied drawings.
- Ensure all materials used and work performed are per specifications.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of Electro/mechanical experience.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Ability to interpret installation drawings, both mechanical and site.
- Maintain train-the-trainer certifications for fork lift, scissor lift, and boom lift.
- Advanced welding skills.
- Ability to perform complex layouts of equipment.
- Common knowledge of structural steel supports.
- Heavy lifting/rigging and material handling skills.
- Working knowledge of electro-mechanical controls wiring and systems.
- Travel up to 80% to 90% of the time, both domestic and international.
- Ability to plan, organize and prioritize in an environment with competing priorities.
- Proven ability to motivate others and be a positive, productive, and effective leader.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional, positive, and energetic demeanor.
- Decision-making ability.
- Computer literacy, including working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to obtain required Airport security clearances.
- OSHA 30 Trainer Qualifications.
- First Aid Trainer Qualification.
- Equipment Trainer Qualification.
- Valid passport and a valid Driver's License.
Team & Environment
You will coordinate the activities of site supervisors and workers and report to the Project Manager and/or Site Integration Manager.
