INNIO is looking for a Site CFD Engineer to join our team in Warsaw, Poland. In this role, you will work closely with Production and Application Engineering groups to support product development and provide critical design guidance. You will apply your skills in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), heat transfer, and thermodynamics to construct models for natural gas engine systems serving the power generation and data center markets.

What You'll Do

Familiarize yourself with design requirements for reciprocating engine critical components like pistons, power cylinders, cylinder liners, heads, and cooling systems to determine Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) parameters.
Construct accurate CFD models and conduct environmental site CFD analyses of internal combustion engine intake and exhaust air paths for data center markets.
Interpret CFD methods to quantify hardware impacts on component and engine performance, driving engine design and addressing development issues.
Provide required inputs from models and drawings to support FEA and 1D-hydraulic teams for design analysis and improvement, detailing boundary conditions.
Define simulation and experimental project requirements, generate statements of work, define timelines, and ensure on-time project completion.
Develop domain expertise and share knowledge with peers and the broader engineering community through technical reports.
Mentor less experienced colleagues, contribute to process improvements, and act as the main technical contact for cross-functional teams (for lead-level candidates).

What We're Looking For

A Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or another engineering discipline with mechanical work experience.
Minimum 3 to 10 years of mechanical engineering experience performing CFD analyses.
Fluency in both Polish and English.
Ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships with customers.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
Commitment to safety, customer service quality, and working in a team-oriented environment.
Prior experience that demonstrates a strong work ethic and ability to multi-task.
Operate daily with a sense of urgency, ownership, and commitment to team above self.
Minimum 3-10 years’ experience in thermofluid modeling, specifically 3D fluid and thermal analyses of internal combustion engine environmental assessments in power generation applications using CFD tools like ANSYS CFX/Fluent and/or CONVERGE.
