Act as a key support for international insurance clients by managing end-to-end claims administration for Commercial, Personal, and Motor lines. This remote role offers the opportunity to work within regulated, high-standard claims environments while based in South Africa.
What You'll Do
- Process incoming claims notifications and conduct initial assessments based on policy terms
- Determine appropriate next steps, including appointing assessors or loss adjusters when necessary
- Maintain precise records throughout the claims lifecycle in compliance with audit and regulatory standards
- Communicate clearly with clients, brokers, insurers, and third parties to ensure transparency
- Monitor claims progression to meet service and efficiency benchmarks
- Identify and report suspicious activity or potential fraud
- Support cost-effective claims handling by minimizing leakage and unnecessary expenses
- Collaborate with team members to share knowledge and improve performance
Requirements
- Matric or equivalent qualification
- Minimum of one year’s experience in short-term insurance claims
- Strong command of written and spoken English
- Proficiency with claims management systems and standard computer applications
- Proven ability to interact professionally with stakeholders
- Reliable home office setup with stable internet and backup solutions for power interruptions
- Willingness to work outside standard hours to align with UK and Australian time zones
- Must be a South African citizen currently residing in South Africa
