About the Role
The ideal candidate will take ownership of all SEO aspects for a Shopify-powered store, driving organic growth through technical optimization, content strategy, and performance analysis. This role requires a mix of independent problem-solving and collaboration with development and marketing teams to ensure long-term search visibility and scalability.
Responsibilities
- Audit and enhance Shopify site structure for optimal search engine indexing
- Implement on-page SEO improvements including metadata, headings, and URL optimization
- Develop and manage keyword strategies tailored to e-commerce conversion
- Optimize product pages to increase visibility and click-through rates
- Improve internal linking architecture for better crawlability
- Monitor site performance using SEO analytics tools
- Identify and resolve technical SEO issues such as crawl errors or duplicate content
- Optimize image alt texts and file naming conventions
- Ensure mobile-friendliness and fast page load times
- Create and update XML sitemaps and robots.txt files
- Track keyword rankings and adjust strategies based on performance
- Collaborate with content creators to align SEO with marketing goals
- Conduct competitor SEO analysis to identify opportunities
- Implement structured data markup to enhance search result appearance
- Support content strategy with SEO-driven topic planning
- Maintain SEO best practices across site migrations or redesigns
- Generate monthly performance reports with actionable insights
- Optimize URL structures for clarity and keyword relevance
- Ensure canonical tags are correctly implemented
- Monitor backlink profile and identify outreach opportunities
- Improve local SEO elements if applicable
- Stay current with search engine algorithm updates
- Advise on UX improvements that support SEO goals
- Coordinate with developers to implement SEO recommendations
- Ensure compliance with search engine webmaster guidelines
