Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is hiring a Shift Lead to achieve excellence in maintenance programs for a critical data centre facility in Hong Kong. You will oversee day-to-day management of plant, mechanical, and electrical systems, coordinate remedial action for incidents, and provide supervision to multi-skilled engineering teams.
What You'll Do
- Ensure site operations, including incident management and escalation, in accordance with approved procedures.
- Plan, assign and supervise planned and reactive activities utilizing the CMMS platform.
- Check on-site repair and maintenance carried out by subcontractors to ensure work completion.
- Ensure the implementation of safe systems on site activities.
- Implement regular inspections of the facility on energy conservation, maintenance practices, utility management and risk management procedures.
- Co-ordinate meetings with contractors to ensure required standards are established and maintained.
- Provide training to on-site teams on equipment operational procedures, including emergency procedures.
- Co-ordinate and maintain the site asset database, providing updates per CMMS requirements.
- Prepare and provide input to the site’s monthly reporting for client.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations on fire, health and safety standards.
- Ensure all safety procedures, including Crisis Management/Business Continuity and Emergency Procedures are maintained.
- Ensure maintenance documentation meets standards for effective asset management.
- Participate in site reviews covering maintenance standards, equipment replacement, security, change control, and operational risk.
- Perform additional tasks as required by the Site Lead.
What We're Looking For
- Tertiary qualifications in a mechanical, electrical or operational engineering discipline.
- Registered Electrical Worker or equivalent certification.
- Data Centre certification.
- 3 – 4 years of relevant experience in engineering or construction services.
- 1 – 2 years of experience operating electrical and mechanical services in a Tier III or equivalent data centre or critical facility.
- Critical environment experience within a similar sized site or operation.
- Experience with continuous improvement initiatives and report preparation.
