Kentro (formerly IT Concepts dba IT Concepts) is hiring a ServiceNow System Administrator

Role Overview

This position supports the VA ESOM-End Point Support and Operations Monitoring contract by ensuring reliable and secure operation of the ServiceNow platform. As a key member of the technical operations team, you will manage system configurations, maintain access controls, and uphold compliance standards in a large-scale federal IT environment. The role is fully remote within the United States and requires availability during Eastern Time business hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily administrative functions to ensure smooth platform operations
  • Configure and manage instance settings, application properties, and platform features
  • Oversee user accounts, roles, groups, and access permissions
  • Monitor system performance and respond to alerts or operational disruptions
  • Implement and document system changes following established change control procedures
  • Carry out upgrades, patches, and scheduled maintenance tasks
  • Keep technical documentation and operational runbooks up to date
  • Support compliance audits by maintaining accurate configuration records

Qualifications

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) credential required
  • Minimum of five years of relevant technical experience
  • At least two years focused on ServiceNow administration
  • Familiarity with ITIL service management principles
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field — or equivalent experience (eight additional years may substitute for degree)
  • Eligibility to obtain and retain a public trust clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency (Green Card holder)

Work Environment

This is a remote position open to candidates within the United States. Work must be performed during Eastern Time working hours to align with team and operational requirements.
