Join a team supporting a federal client in modernizing their ServiceNow Software Asset Management (SAM) capabilities. In this role, you'll act as both Business Analyst and Scrum Master, driving the remediation of SAM modules through structured Agile practices and stakeholder collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead requirements workshops to define workflows, user stories, and acceptance criteria for SAM improvements.
- Work directly with federal stakeholders to clarify needs, prioritize features, and refine deliverables.
- Document current and future-state processes related to software asset tracking, compliance, and lifecycle management.
- Facilitate Scrum events including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
- Manage sprint pacing in alignment with contractual obligations and resource availability.
- Maintain oversight of risks, action items, and decisions across project meetings.
- Oversee the SAM feature backlog, ensuring technical feasibility and adherence to ServiceNow best practices.
- Bridge communication between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders to ensure shared understanding.
- Guide cross-functional groups toward consensus, even in environments with competing priorities or complex dynamics.
Qualifications
Applicants must be U.S. citizens or Green Card holders eligible for Public Trust clearance. A bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, information systems, or a related field is required—though 16 years of relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
- Minimum of 8 years of combined experience as a Business Analyst and Scrum Master within ServiceNow implementations.
- Proven ability to lead Agile ceremonies and manage sprint delivery effectively.
- Understanding of software asset lifecycles, licensing models, and IT governance frameworks.
- Experience with Agile tools such as Jira or ServiceNow Agile.
- Strong facilitation, note-taking, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Prior experience supporting federal government clients is required.
Preferred Skills
- Scrum Master certification (CSM, PMI-ACP) or equivalent.
- ServiceNow CSA or SAM certification.
- ServiceNow micro-certifications in Agile and Test Management or Automated Test Framework.
- Experience using Lucidchart, Miro, or Visio for process mapping and documentation.
- Hands-on work with ServiceNow SAM modules.
