Hyatt Centric Melbourne is looking for a seasonal Dock & Drink Server for our vibrant, seasonal outdoor venue. In this role, you'll be responsible for providing authentic hospitality and meaningful experiences to every guest. You'll join a team that strives to not just meet but exceed high expectations.
What You'll Do
- Submit guest menu selections and present food and beverage options.
- Develop comprehensive menu knowledge and provide recommendations from our cuisine and drink offerings.
- Engage in conversation and create the restaurant experience through style and attentive service.
- Perform general restaurant preparation and maintain a sanitary environment.
- Service food and beverages, including order taking and delivery, in a friendly, courteous, helpful, timely, and professional manner.
What We're Looking For
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to obtain local food handlers and alcohol serving permits prior to being placed on the work schedule.
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
- Refined verbal communication skills.
- Confidence in knowledge of menu and beverage (alcohol, beer and wine) offerings.
- Attention to detail in all aspects of the role.
- Ability to foster a positive working relationship with departmental and support role colleagues.
- Minimum of one-year previous F&B serving experience in either fine dining to family style dining.
- Knowledge of POS and reservations systems.
- Available to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Must have physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
