Directive Consulting is looking for an SEO Strategist (internally Content Marketing Strategist) to join our team. This is a crucial, client-facing role responsible for creating and managing custom client strategies for Enterprise accounts. You will use a deep understanding of SEO and content marketing to build holistic strategies and communicate progress to both clients and internal stakeholders.
What You'll Do
- Create custom strategies and implement best practices for clients to achieve NSMs, using project phases, marketing goals, campaigns, and historical performance.
- Craft creative briefs and compelling content campaigns with a focus on ideation based on competitor and audience insights.
- Set client goals using data from Google Analytics, CRM, SEMRush, and Ahrefs, with approval from an Associate Director.
- Ensure strategy execution through project management, delegating tasks in Asana to team members and clients, and ensuring timely completion.
- Partner with content writers and designers to complete client content campaigns on time and to quality standards.
- Build relationships with clients beyond deliverables, proactively communicating timeline expectations, goal progress, and using shared channels like Slack.
- Proactively communicate with internal leadership about roadblocks, account growth opportunities, and changes in client accounts.
- Report to clients bi-weekly on NSM progress and deliverables, plus monthly reports, quarterly reports, and two bi-annual business review presentations.
- Regularly look for opportunities for clients to grow their business with Directive through upselling, cross-selling, and referrals.
What We're Looking For
- Proven track record implementing SEO principles and content strategy: keyword research, on-page optimisation, and link building.
- Ability to analyse website traffic and SEO metrics using tools like Google Analytics.
- Comfortable client facing and owning relationships with key stakeholders.
- Strong familiarity with industry tools: Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMRush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog/crawling tools.
- Proven organisational, project, and time management skills.
- Genuine enthusiasm for digital marketing, SEO and Content.
- Must have agency experience.
- Must have B2B tech and/or SaaS experience.

Works closely with Associate Director (AsD) for strategy approval and roadblocks. Partners with Project Managers, content writers, and designers. Reports to an Associate Director (AsD).
