Canva is looking for an SEO Content Specialist, Thailand (12 Month Contract) to create and manage SEO-optimized content that drives growth in the local Thai market. You’ll be at the forefront of connecting Thai audiences with design content that resonates, while staying ahead of evolving search trends.
What You'll Do
- Champion content requirements for landing pages and blog articles, supporting the long-term content strategy with editorial calendars.
- Create and edit SEO-optimized, engaging content about design topics for local Thai audiences.
- Upload and publish content following SEO best practices and the local tone of voice.
- Regularly track and optimize landing pages to maintain freshness and improve user engagement.
- Maintain high quality and consistency aligned with Canva's brand guidelines.
- Provide feedback on content management systems, translation quality, and page layout to improve efficiency.
- Work closely with the Thailand SEO team to align on goals, priorities, and best practices.
- Support broader SEO activities like keyword research, competitor analysis, and collaboration with Outreach Specialists.
- Collaborate with country SEO and marketing teams to ensure content reflects local market dynamics.
- Contribute local market intelligence and user insights to inform content priorities.
- Build cross-functional relationships to understand how content supports broader country initiatives.
- Stay curious about emerging search and discovery trends, including AI-powered platforms.
- Understand where traditional SEO drives value versus new channels in the Thai market.
- Experiment with new content formats and optimization approaches as the search landscape evolves.
- Share observations about how users in Thailand discover content to contribute to global trend understanding.
What We're Looking For
- Native or near-native proficiency in Thai with business-level English.
- Proven experience in SEO content writing and/or content marketing with a portfolio demonstrating successful outcomes.
- Strong copywriting and copy editing skills, including experience giving constructive feedback.
- Experience with editorial planning and publishing content in a CMS.
- Solid understanding of SEO fundamentals: keyword optimization, content structure, user intent, and strategy.
- Experience using web analytics tools to understand user engagement and measure content performance.
- High attention to detail with the ability to follow detailed written instructions and maintain quality standards.
- Strong time management: Ability to self-manage capacity, meet deadlines, and balance multiple priorities.
- Deep understanding of local Thai cultural and linguistic nuances.
- Appreciation of local writing trends and content preferences.
- Ability to identify market-specific opportunities.
- Excellent communication skills: Clear, proactive, and transparent in written and verbal communication.

Team & Environment
You'll join a global team of specialists spanning keyword research, technical SEO, content strategy, outreach, engineering, data analytics, design, and operations. This role is part of the International SEO team, working closely with the Thailand SEO Lead and local team.
