Illumina, Inc. is looking for a Senior Territory Account Manager, Healthcare to lead sales growth and strategy within Georgia, Alabama, and East Tennessee. You will develop and execute sales plans for our genomic solutions, directly impacting our mission to expand access to transformative healthcare technology.
What You'll Do
- Develop and implement a territory-specific sales plan to meet assigned quotas.
- Engage in accurate forecasting and sales pipeline management.
- Deliver technical seminars and presentations on Illumina’s product portfolio.
- Demonstrate command of scientific knowledge to engage in a collaborative and consultative sales process.
- Proactively monitor market trends to identify new opportunities and create value for customers.
- Collaborate cross-functionally across the company to achieve goals and meet customer needs.
- Navigate a multi-tiered sales process for capital equipment, consumables, and services.
- Match customer business objectives to Illumina capabilities to deliver mutual value.
- Prospect for and generate new customer leads while actively managing and expanding existing accounts.
- Develop and maintain strong customer connections at various organizational levels.
- Proactively engage in ongoing learning of new applications and growth opportunities.
- Effectively handle interpersonal challenges while maintaining a customer-focused approach.
- Demonstrate a win-win approach in negotiations.
What We're Looking For
- Knowledge and in-depth relationships with GA, AL, and East TN healthcare systems is required.
- A strong understanding of clinical genetics and genomics is required.
- Demonstrable experience working with key clinical and research accounts in GA, AL, and East TN.
- 5+ years of proven life science capital sales experience.
- Success working effectively within a highly collaborative, team setting.
- Success with independent lead generation, prospecting, and business development.
- Experience in consultative and strategic selling situations.
- Success driving complex sales within multi-layered environments.
- Experience winning and growing business within geographical healthcare organizations.
- High motivation with a strong drive to deliver exceptional results individually and as part of a team.
- Success working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to change.
- Understanding of next generation sequencing (NGS) and genotyping is foundational.
Team & Environment
This role is field-based and customer-facing, with time spent between customer sites and a home office.
Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation: $105,600 - $158,400 + variable cash programs (bonus or commission).
