CVS Health is hiring a Senior Technical Architect, Heroku to lead clients through the development and deployment of critically important applications on the Heroku platform. As a domain expert in Heroku Professional Services, you will combine deep technical expertise in cloud-based development and data integration with strong client partnership to drive successful outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the domain expert on Heroku’s cloud platform and data services, focusing on application development, data management, and seamless integrations.
- Act as a strategic partner to clients, helping to unlock and integrate data from various enterprise systems into Heroku-powered applications.
- Lead the design and implementation of complex projects involving data cloud strategies, scripting solutions, and extensive data management.
- Build strong relationships with clients, becoming a trusted advisor by delivering high client satisfaction scores.
- Identify and lead internal initiatives to expand the consulting practice, contributing to the community’s knowledge base.
What We're Looking For
- At least 8 years of professional experience in software development and cloud-based architectures, including hands-on expertise.
- Minimum of 3 years in a technical architecture consulting role specifically focused on Heroku enterprise projects or other cloud-based architectures.
- Proficient in developing and deploying applications using at least two of: Ruby, Java, Python, Node.js, PHP, or Go.
- Deep understanding of key Heroku data services including Kafka, Redis, and Postgres DB, with expertise in data migrations and integrations, particularly with Heroku Connect.
- Familiarity with Salesforce and its integration points with Heroku platforms, such as MuleSoft and Salesforce Data Cloud.
- Strong leadership qualities with ability to lead multi-functional teams and multi-stakeholder environments.
- Excellent communication skills for effectively articulating technical solutions, conducting workshops, and engaging with both technical and non-technical team members.
- Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex technical issues, demonstrating innovative thinking.
- Adept at quick learning and adaptively applying new technologies and frameworks to solve business challenges.
- Willingness to travel up to X% to meet client needs.
Nice to Have
- Advanced degrees or certifications related to cloud architecture, such as Heroku Architecture, AWS Certified Solutions Architect or similar.
- Validated experience in deploying and leading applications on Heroku.
