Power Factors is hiring a Network Operations Engineer to join our team in Athens, Greece. In this hybrid role, you will design, implement, maintain, and support our expanding network infrastructure, which spans renewable energy production plants and cloud-based data centers. You'll be part of a team dedicated to delivering secure, maintainable, and highly available architectures that support critical business goals.
What You'll Do
- Provide Level-2 support and troubleshooting to resolve network outages across remote sites
- Conduct expert-level root cause analysis and troubleshoot operational issues
- Review client topology diagrams and design concepts to ensure best practices
- Draft and maintain service documentation and operational processes
- Operate within established configuration and change management policies and tools
- Identify bottlenecks and drive automation for repetitive tasks
- Collaborate with system engineers to plan, design, and optimize business services
What We're Looking For
- At least 3 years of experience as a Network Engineer
- Solid understanding of the TCP/IP model and key internet protocols (DNS, SMTP, HTTP, etc.)
- Familiarity with authentication and authorization schemes
- In-depth knowledge of network security, IP routing, and VPN technologies (SSL VPN, IPSec, OpenVPN)
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst Series and HP Aruba switches
- Experience with Fortigate and Cisco firewalls and routers
- Clear and patient communicator, able to interface directly with clients in English
Nice to Have
- Network/security certifications (Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper) are preferred
- Experience with Linux environments is considered an asset
