Responsibilities
- Collaborate with animators, character artists, designers, and engineers to build and sustain reliable animation workflows in Unreal Engine
- Develop, test, and refine animation systems such as blend trees, state machines, inverse kinematics, motion matching, and procedural techniques
- Design and manage rigs for characters and creatures, along with animation blueprints and related tooling
- Ensure animation systems perform efficiently and remain stable across expansive open-world environments
- Integrate animations for gameplay mechanics, cinematic sequences, traversal, combat, and systemic behaviors
- Analyze current workflows to detect inefficiencies and implement tools or improvements to accelerate iteration and enhance quality
- Diagnose and resolve animation issues while offering technical expertise to the animation team
- Keep documentation updated and promote consistent standards for animation pipelines and systems
