Role OverviewJoin a tax function focused on accuracy and compliance, where you'll play a key role in managing tax obligations across multiple regions. Reporting to the Group Tax Manager, you will handle critical tasks including tax return preparation, provision calculations, and regulatory compliance, all within a remote, collaborative structure.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and verify local income and indirect tax returns across various jurisdictions.
- Calculate and maintain documentation for quarterly and annual tax provisions, including detailed analysis of tax-related accounts and reserves.
- Conduct in-depth research on tax regulations, interpret legal requirements, and apply findings to business transactions.
- Support tax audits by compiling records, responding to official requests, and helping resolve findings.
- Ensure ongoing compliance by managing tax registrations, filings, and deadlines across regions.
- Evaluate the tax implications of corporate decisions and recommend strategies to enhance efficiency.
- Take on additional responsibilities aligned with the senior-level scope as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
Candidates must hold a professional accounting credential (CPA, ACCA, CGA, or CA) and a bachelor’s degree or higher. A minimum of four years in tax or accounting roles is required, with demonstrated ability in managing concurrent deadlines and cross-functional coordination.
Strong written and spoken English is essential. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, collaborative, and capable of proactive problem-solving.
Preferred Background
- Experience with Big 4 accounting firms, particularly in tax compliance.
- Familiarity with Alteryx, Power BI, or similar data analysis tools.
- Proficiency in tax software platforms such as Onesource or Vertex.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems like SAP or GP.
- Additional language skills in Spanish, French, or Dutch are beneficial.
