NeoGenomics is hiring a Senior Systems Engineer to manage the provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of our systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure. In this role, you will provide crucial support across the business, ensuring our systems align with our purpose-driven mission and organizational values.
What You'll Do
- Maintain Microsoft AD Domains, including OU structure, site connectivity, group policy management, and overall domain health.
- Support server, network, desktop hardware, software, and applications.
- Maintain system backups and deliver daily reports to management.
- Ensure the health, performance, security, and availability of our server environment(s), including storage quotas and email system security measures.
- Perform capacity planning through daily monitoring of servers, storage, and production equipment, taking proactive measures to maintain optimal performance.
- Collaborate with IT Security to deploy endpoint protection across all servers and workstations.
- Maintain patch deployment for all servers and implement a patch management solution for workstations and laptops.
- Maintain operational best practices for system and application upgrades, including research, project planning, validation, implementation, and documentation.
- Embrace project management best practices for project planning, scope creation, vendor selection, and milestone definition.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years’ experience supporting and managing a large, geographically dispersed IT infrastructure.
- Previous employment as a Systems Engineer, Senior Systems Administrator, or equivalent position.
- Enterprise Storage experience or certification.
- Expert knowledge of Windows server and desktop products.
- Ability to administer a large-scale, multi-domain, multi-site Active Directory infrastructure.
- Proficiency with AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO, DFS Name Space/Replication, and High Availability using Microsoft Cluster Technology.
- Extensive knowledge of backup technologies.
- Extensive experience with enterprise-level storage solutions like NetApp, Dell EMC Isilon, or Dell EMC Compellent.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Previous team lead experience or ability to lead junior team members.
- Microsoft certifications.
- Medical Laboratory experience.
- Industry-recognized technical certification(s) such as MCSE/MCSA/MCITP and/or CCNA.
- Experience with Azure Active Directory, Microsoft 365 administration, and Azure Portal administration.
- Demonstrated knowledge of setting up remote access for users.
- Strong hands-on experience with back office hardware including Cisco UCS, DELL, HP, IBM Server Hardware, HP/Cisco Networking products, Windows Server 2003/2008 R2, 2012, 2016, 2019, Cisco Firewalls, Citrix XenApp, and High Availability system design.
- Experience with virtualization technologies like VMWare ESX or Hyper-V.
