Deutsche Telekom IT Solutions Hungary Kft. is looking for a Senior System Engineer Ops (REF4586P) to ensure the stable, secure, and automated operation of our hybrid IT infrastructure. You will apply your expertise in a dynamic, agile environment, using strong communication skills daily.
What You'll Do
- Operate, support, and further develop our hybrid IT infrastructure, primarily on-premises with some cloud components.
- Optimize network and firewall architectures, including LAN, WAN, and routing.
- Administer Linux servers and middleware components.
- Automate repetitive tasks using Ansible and scripting in Python and Shell.
- Implement and operate monitoring and logging solutions such as Graylog and Icinga.
- Collaborate closely with architects to create stable and scalable platforms.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure high system availability.
What We're Looking For
- Several years of professional experience in system administration, particularly with Linux, networks, and security.
- Deep knowledge of LAN/WAN, routing, and firewall configurations.
- Strong practical experience in automation with Ansible and scripting.
- Experience with ITIL processes for incident and problem management.
- Proven practice in operating complex platforms, troubleshooting, and performance analysis.
- Openness to learning and using new collaboration tools.
- Good English language skills for daily communication.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of cloud environments, particularly OTC.
- Confident use of GitLab, Terraform/OpenTofu, and CI/CD pipelines.
- German language skills.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, Kustomize, or GitOps approaches.
- Knowledge of Web Application Firewall (WAF) technologies.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and database administration.
