Join AECOM as a Senior Sustainability Consultant, where you will provide strategic guidance and support to teams pursuing third-party sustainability certifications. You will be instrumental in delivering technical guidance, quality assurance, and developing innovative solutions to advance our Sustainable Legacies Strategy across a global portfolio of groundbreaking projects.
What You'll Do
- Promote and support AECOM’s Sustainable Legacies Strategy.
- Conduct ESG assessments for diverse projects across multiple countries.
- Provide technical guidance to design teams to integrate sustainability and comply with quality standards.
- Interpret requirements for compliance with LEED, Mostadam, WELL, and other third-party certifications.
- Lead and support end-to-end sustainability certification delivery for projects.
- Manage certification processes from feasibility and credit strategy through documentation and submission.
- Review design and construction submittals for alignment with sustainability goals.
- Mentor junior sustainability staff and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.
- Guide the collection and interpretation of complex client data for energy, water, waste, and GHG.
- Advise clients and teams on long-term strategies to achieve Net Zero alignment and meet sustainability targets.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Architecture, or a closely related field.
- Minimum 4 years of demonstrated experience managing end-to-end sustainability certification processes (LEED, Mostadam, WELL) for projects across multiple sectors.
- Active LEED AP credentials.
- Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks and standards including GRI, SASB, ISSB, TCFD, and UN Global Compact.
- Excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills to convey complex information clearly.
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Architecture, or a closely related field.
- 5 years of experience in ESG, sustainability, decarbonization, and climate change advisory.
- Strong technical knowledge in Climate Change, Decarbonization Strategy, and ESG.
- Knowledge of GHG accounting and reporting standards.
- Experience with Revit/BIM.
- Excellent project management skills with ability to lead and coordinate diverse teams.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a consulting environment.
