Contentful is hiring a Senior Solution Engineer, Enterprise - DACH (f/m/d) to join our sales team. In this role, you will own key components of the sales process, including infrastructural discovery, collaborative solution design, and technical validation, directly supporting Enterprise Account Executives in the DACH region.
What You'll Do
- Work directly with Enterprise Account Executives to support DACH customers.
- Support the sales team in helping prospects understand Contentful's capabilities compared to legacy technologies.
- Understand prospects' project requirements, validate them against the platform, and identify and mitigate technical and business risks.
- Create product demonstrations and assist with technical evaluations to show how the platform solves business problems and integrates into a prospect's tech stack.
- Communicate prospect and customer needs and product feedback to product management, marketing, and sales.
- Collaborate with Solution Architects and Customer Success Managers to ensure newly-signed customers successfully implement and launch their projects.
What We're Looking For
- Fluency in English and German.
- Desire to work in a fast-paced environment across multiple opportunities and teams.
- 3-5 years experience as a Sales/Solution Engineer, Architect, or Solution Consultant for a cloud-based, growth-oriented PaaS or SaaS company; OR 5-10 years experience as a developer working on digital experience delivery using marketing technology platforms (CMS, Commerce, Personalisation, etc.).
- Strong presentation skills to convey business and technical knowledge to both marketing-focused and technical-focused personas.
- Proven experience with current web technologies (JavaScript frameworks, static site generators, REST APIs, CDNs, CI/CD, etc.).
- High degree of emotional intelligence to navigate meetings with multiple customer stakeholders.
- Natural curiosity for how technology drives change and translates into business value.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with a Content Management Platform or similar MarTech.
- Prior experience with solution selling methodologies and/or value based selling techniques.
- Understanding of core concepts of MACH products and Composable architectures and how they relate to Contentful's product and market position.
