About the Role

Adyen is hiring a Technical Support Engineer for our In Person Payments team in Singapore. You will serve as a key technical point of contact for Adyen’s global merchants, working across technology, commercial, and operational teams to deliver support that directly impacts merchants' ability to take payments and grow their business.

What You'll Do

  • Provide customers with help and instruments to successfully accept payments globally, predominantly focused on in-person payment products.
  • Be a key source of knowledge on the Adyen platform, products, APIs, underlying web-stack technologies, and industry-standard integration methods and best practices.
  • Support merchant technical personnel by troubleshooting technical problems to create the best possible merchant experience.
  • Advise merchants on best implementation practices and address specific merchant issues.
  • Serve as a feedback loop for the organization, gathering merchant feedback, evaluating needs, and communicating these to product and management personnel.
  • Provide first-class service analyzed via CSAT and regular QA of engineers' tickets.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience as a Technical Support Engineer or Technical Solutions Consultant.
  • Experience in networking and IT hardware.
  • Capability to make quick, informed decisions under pressure while prioritizing tasks based on urgency.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and ability to adapt to new processes and procedures quickly.
  • Ability to solve problems by identifying issues via inferring from complex data sets or reading application or hardware logs.
  • A team player who takes responsibility for tasks and enjoys working independently.
  • Experience collaborating with globally distributed, multicultural teams, with a deep understanding of cultural nuances.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Must be willing to travel globally where required.

Nice to Have

  • POS (Point of Sale) experience.
  • Ability or keen interest in writing scripts: SQL, JavaScript, Python, or Java code.
  • Other language skills beyond English.

You will be part of an international Technical Support team with diverse backgrounds and skill sets.

This role is based onsite in Singapore.
