As a Senior ServiceNow Engineer, you will lead the design and implementation of enterprise-grade solutions on the ServiceNow platform. Your work will focus on enhancing IT service management, strengthening incident response, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as SOX and DORA. You'll play a central role in shaping how critical workflows are automated and optimised across risk, audit, and operational resilience domains.
What You'll Do
- Design and manage ServiceNow solutions with a focus on ITSM, incident management, and risk processes
- Own the ongoing development, stability, and scalability of the platform
- Build custom applications, modules, and workflows tailored to enterprise needs
- Enhance operational resilience frameworks, including DORA-aligned incident and risk workflows
- Support compliance initiatives by improving audit and SOX-related processes within ServiceNow
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions through close collaboration with stakeholders
- Develop secure integrations with internal and external systems using REST and SOAP APIs
- Contribute to platform governance, coding standards, and best practices
- Ensure all solutions meet enterprise requirements for security, compliance, and maintainability
- Support platform upgrades, optimisation efforts, and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- 6+ years of hands-on experience with the ServiceNow platform
- 5+ years focused on ServiceNow ITSM and development
- 3+ years in a platform ownership role or equivalent responsibility for enterprise systems
- 2+ years working with operational resilience frameworks, including incident and risk management in regulated settings
- 2+ years supporting audit or compliance processes such as SOX
- Proven experience integrating systems via REST or SOAP APIs
- Experience working directly with non-technical stakeholders to deliver practical solutions
- Solid understanding of enterprise service delivery, risk workflows, and compliance requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with ServiceNow ITOM and CMDB configurations
- Background in infrastructure, asset, or configuration management systems
- Prior work in regulated sectors such as banking, insurance, or fintech
